Ok so technically it’s Thursday but had to give my trusty followers the scoop on the beauty deals to look out for on Black Friday. Before the US annual shopping extravaganza went transatlantic, Black Friday sounded more like a zombie apocalypse rather than a Sale day. Although, this isn’t just any sale day. If you’re caught on a high street battling with a woman called Susan for the last size 6s of those snakeskin boots you were waiting for Topshop to put on sale it may just feel like the end of the world.
Let’s be real, our beauty addiction is expensive, so when a day like Black Friday comes about it’s a time to stock up on our sturdy faves, treat ourselves to that palette we’ve sought after for months or get ahead with the dreaded Christmas shopping. Preparation is key, you want to know where the deals are, on what, so you can plan ahead of time. Fear not my gallant beauty junkies, here’s what you need to know.
Beauty Bay
The obvious one, and if you follow my Instagram stories, you’ll know all about it. Last week Beauty Bay kicked off their week long “Bragging Rights” sale with a whopping 30% off site wide. The internet lost their sh*t for this one – including myself. Beauty Bay stocks a lot of major brands such as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Alpha-H, The Ordinary, Dose of Colors, Kevin Aucoin to name a few.
Best For: Beauty Bay is a good site for some of those American brands that are harder to get on the high street and they also have a great range of giftsets if you’re looking to sort out some Christmas Presents. Plus, the 30% off is sweetttt.
My Top Picks:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow Kit – Was £41, now £24.60
Desi & Katy Velvet Liquid Lipstick by Dose of Colours – Was £15, now £10.50
BPerfect LMD Louise McDonnell Master Palette – Was £25, now £17.49
Cult Beauty
Cult didn’t go as extreme in releasing all the goods prior to Black Friday like Beauty Bay did but I can tell the best is yet to come. Currently they’re offering 30% off brands like Becca, Jouer, Too Faced and Lime Crime. With a few other products added to the mix. I haven’t purchased from here yet but I’m keeping an eye for a whopper discount across more brands on Friday.
Best For: Makeup brush brands like Morphe and Sigma. Some excellent sets available for gifts or to put on your own Santa list.
My Top Picks:
Morphe 35F Fall Into Frost Eyeshadow Palette – Was £23, now £13.30
Sigma Beauty Snap a Selfie Brush Set – £39 (not reduced yet but snap it if it is)
ASOS
When we think of ASOS we think of clothes but they stock a surprising amount of beauty brands too like Clinique, Emma Hardie, MAC and NARS. Last year they offered 20% off some beauty brands so I’m hoping this year will be the same.
Best For: Some of the indie brands that aren’t really seen on the high street like Glam Glow, the Ordinary and Eyeko.
My Top Picks:
Pixi Best of Bright Travel Set – £20 (not reduced yet but snap it if it is)
GLAMGLOW Multi Masking set – £29 (not reduced yet but snap it if it is)
Boots
Seems pretty obvious but Boots have already introduced a lot of Black Friday offers. Many of the big counters have Black Friday specific bumper sets including full size products for a fraction of the price so keep your eyes peeled.
Best For: Bigger, well-known brands like Estee Lauder, YSL and Lancome as well as all the fragrance.
My Top Picks:
Real Techniques Party Hopper Brush set – Was £70, now £35
Estee Lauder Sculpted Lip Sets – Was £60, now £30
MAC
The O-G. Nothing has been communicated officially yet but in 2017, MAC offered up to 40% off selected makeup products on their site so watch this space.
Best For: Your cult classics like their lipsticks, highlight and their sought after Shiny Pretty Things collection, provided it’s not sold out.
Top Picks:
Shiny Pretty Things Holiday Collection
So, there you have it, the scoop on some of the deals you can expect this Black Friday. Some brands/sites have been tight lipped on their offers so be on the lookout. I keep my Instagram stories up to date with sales I’ve spied so follow me on Instagram so I can do the work for you!
Happy shopping my lovelies,
Eve
